This is the official website to historical photos and images of places, people and events relating to the City of Trondheim, Norway. The project is called "Trondheimsbilder" and is the result of cooperation between the City Archive of Trondheim, Trondheim Public Library, NTNU University Library and Sverresborg Trøndelag Folk Museum. The project is designed to allow seamless search and retrieval of material in our databases. About 50000 images and references are presently available through www.trondheimsbilder.no. The four institutions hold more than one million images and the number of available digital images is steadily increasing. The portal is developed by Bibliotek-Systemer AS in close cooperation with Bibsys and Museenes datatjeneste. The website has been developed using SRW, Search/Retrieve Webservices. The project has received financial support from the Norwegian Archive, Library and Museum Authority.
